Here we are flag dancing to a Michael W. Smith song.

Over 160 to 250  students silk painted and created their own flags. In the presentations about 40 to 70 students flag danced in the final day of the camp.

I taught the upcoming fifth grade class about expression through the use of silk flags.

During the month of June (07) students were able to learn how to paint on silk and express themself through dance.

Approximately 60 to 80 students danced on the finale day with patriotic flags waving in the air.

The finale involved all students dramatizing the pain the flag has endured through the years.

This program also called the students to be strong for their country and grow up to be good citizens.

This is a quote from a newpaper add that was written about the program:

"We've got to raise our next generation to be strong," this generation is the door of hope, our hinge of histroy.

Our nation calls you to awake from complacency. Prepare yourself and be ready.

Program funded through a 21st century learning center grant.
